Meanings and Message behind "Become To Know" Album Cover Art
There is a reason meditation is called a practice. It's something you must do consistently, and the benefits of meditation are immense. We have been frequent attendees of a local group meditation on the Twin Hearts in Atlanta, GA, which has be a leading factor in our spiritual development over the past 18 months. The vision for this artwork came over a few months of consistent attendance to this meditation. It represents feelings and visions that I had encountered, and the best possible 3D physical realm translation of them. Huge credit for the manifestation of the vision goes to the incredibly talented Olivia Curry. You can check out more of her work on her website, www.dreamnectar.com.
Below, I break down the meanings of the different aspects of the painting as it relates to the music, album title, and our spiritual journey!
The main focal point of the artwork is the visualization of this "grandfather tree," a tree that has weathered many storms, seen many sun rises and sun sets, and continues to grow and flourish. Since participating in the Twin Hearts Meditation, and diving deeper in to the spiritual pranic healing work that Master Choa Kok Sui developed, I've grown this undeniable affinity to trees.
Humans are very much like trees in many ways. Most obviously, trees capture Carbon Dioxide and through photosynthesis give off Oxygen. Humans do just the converse of that, absorbing Oxygen and giving off Carbon Dioxide.
Trees collect energy from the sky (universe, cosmos) and translate that energy to the earth through their complex root systems. Humans similarly collect energy from the cosmos and translate it through our root systems (root chakra, feet for example). We are not rooted in one place however, so we can translate that universal/cosmic energy to the ground all over the earth.
Trees remind us of the importance of grounding. Grounding is an excellent wait to stay centered in your being, while expelling negative (or positive) energies into the earth. Have you ever felt like you were drifting or floating away and had to grab the limb of a tree to reassure yourself of your divine nature?
The collection and transmission of this energy is relayed in the "arrow" shaped chakra lines, all leading down to a main focal point (chakra). Starting with the highest/most spiritual chakra (Crown Chakra), these universal energy "downloads" come down from the universe through the tree. This is a beautiful representation of the way we work as humans. In the Twin Hearts Meditation, we are guided to think of a happy thought to open our crown chakra. The intention for doing this is to open our energy body through our crown chakra, like a large funnel, to accept the divine energy that is pouring down on to us (at all times, but especially during this meditation practice).
